Speedflex Signs Up To PwC's My Financepartner To Support Its ...

Speedflex is the new circuit-based, high intensity training concept, which has locations in Newcastle, Leeds, London, Surrey, Aberdeenshire and Dubai. It was set up in 2011 by entrepreneur Graham Wylie and Paul Ferris, Barrister, former professional footballer and physiotherapist at Newcastle United Football Club, with shareholders including Alan Shearer and Ben Shepheard.

Due to its success, Speedflex plans to expand with 100 new outlets throughout the UK and Europe over the next 24 months and has signed up to My Financepartner, PwC s cloud-based accounting tool, which is designed specifically for fast growing SMEs.

Explaining why Speedflex signed up to My Financepartner, Paul Ferris said:

We are still a relatively young business but with six existing locations across the globe and more in the pipeline planned for the next few years, we realised we needed an accounting tool that was customised to our needs to help support this growth. My Financepartner will deliver the necessary insight for planning for future growth, without being tied into long term contracts and with the security of a qualified, PwC accountant at the end of the phone for further advice.

Peter Kelly from PwC s my Financepartner team in Newcastle explained:

My Financepartner creates a new way for businesses to engage with accountants, enabling them to spend more time growing their business.

Speedflex is exactly the type of innovative, fast growing business that will benefit from what My Financepartner offers.

The management team will now be able to access the accounting support they need, when they need it, as well as sophisticated management information.

Recognising the challenges growing small and medium sized businesses in the region and across the UK can face in accessing alternative funding sources, PwC has also joined forces with two innovative and market leading organisations: Funding Circle and Market Invoice.

The move marks the next stage in the evolution of alternative finance, which has become an established part of the financial services landscape.
