RIVERHEAD, N.Y.
A day care aide who pleaded guilty to abandoning two children at a Long Island mall will be sentenced Thursday.
Nicole Noble, 35, abandoned the 2-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy at the Westfield South Shore Mall in Bay Shore in December of 2014.
The children, who attended Elite Christian Day Car in Brooklyn, were found playing near JC Penney and Panera Bread with no adult in sight.

Noble, an employee at the day care, told officials she left the two alone to teach them a lesson after they misbehaved and played hide-and-seek.
She pleaded guilty to child abandonment and endangering the welfare of a child in July.
