A SECURITY guard at The Mall Blackburn has had his efforts recognised with a national award.
Soheb Valli, who is known to friends and colleagues as Tez, won the Colleague of the Year Award at the VSG Mall Champion Awards.
He was nominated by mall services manager, Ronnie O Keeffe, Inspector Abid Khan from Lancashire Police and PC Andy Duxbury from the Blackburn Town Centre Team for outstanding CCTV and security work.
Ronnie O Keeffe said: Tez is one of the most experienced and well respected officers on the VSG Mall Security team and is a great ambassador for VSG.
He is a fantastic role model for new officers and has great relationships with everyone in The Mall, from shoppers to retailers and the management team.
I am delighted that he has won this award and has gained the recognition he truly deserves.
PC Andy Duxbury added: As a serving police officer and longstanding member of the Blackburn Town Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team, I am delighted to offer special praise to one of our partnership colleagues.
Tez has been a member of the Mall team for a number of years and during this time he has been invaluable in assisting the Police, retailers and the public.
Our job is a difficult one, but it is made much easier when you have people of this calibre working with you.
He is a credit to The Mall and thoroughly deserves this award.
