Security Guard Shot In Jennings

A security guard is currently warded at the Mount St John s Medical Centre (MSJMC), with several gunshot wounds to his body.

Narque Allen, a Jamaican national, was shot several times in the upper body on Thursday night, by an unknown assailant, just after he alighted his work bus.

According to reports, the security guard employed with Special Security Services Limited, was walking towards his home when a white car drove up alongside him and someone opened fire.

Allen, 29, who received gunshot wounds to his chest, head and mouth, was rushed to hospital where he remains in serious but stable condition.

The incident occurred around 9:45 pm.

It is not the first time that an officer working for this security company has been shot.

In March 2014, a 25-year-old security guard, Juan Milford was gunned down while on duty at the Grand Royal Antiguan Resort & Spa around 3 am.

Owner and manager of the security firm, Wilbur Purcell declined to comment on the latest matter.

Lawmen are appealing to anyone with information concerning this incident to contact the Bolans Police Station at 462-1080, or call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-Tips (8477).
