Police are appealing for information after a man was injured in a raid on a security van in Castle Bromwich. The robbery happened as a G4S driver was leaving the Tesco Express store on Green Lane at around 4.45pm on Friday . Police have only just released details of the raid.
The offender ran up behind the driver and grabbed the cash box from his hand as he approached his van, before running off . The driver s shoulder was injured in the attack. This follows a couple of other hold-ups – Halifax in Coventry Road, Sheldon1 was targeted in the early hours of Saturday by ram raiders.
Police said the ram raid happened between 3am and 3.25am when offenders used vehicles to smash into the front window and then stole a cash machine.
