A 23-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over an alleged hit-and-run incident outside a nightclub.
The incident took place at EQHQ in Livingston at around 3.15am on Saturday, when a 22-year-old man leaving the venue was struck by a car, which then drove off. He was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A short time later, the suspect was detained by police and initially charged with drunk-driving.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Following a road collision outside the EQHQ nightclub in Livingston on Saturday, a 23-year-old man has now been charged with attempted murder.”
The arrested man is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Monday.
