DISOWNED: Eddie Fewtrell (right) wants nothing to do with daughter Abigail Keogh
Eddie Fewtrell has vowed daughter Abigail will never set foot in the 1million mansion he built for her and instead he’ll sell it. The 85-year-old former clubland kingpin is furious about the novel “The Accidental Gangster”, written by Abigail’s husband and musician David Keogh and based on information supplied by Abigail, 42. The book alleges the pensioner had a violent feud with the Kray twins and had frequent fights, after he chucked them out of his nightclubs but Eddie denies this.
Mum-of-two Abigail, of Ivybridge, Devon, said she found out her dad’s reputation as an alleged gangster after she became an English Literature student at University of Gloucestershire.

“She has destroyed the good name of the Fewtrells.
“I am shocked by what she’s done in the book. I disown her. I don’t want her as a daughter. I don’t want to see her.
“It the book has destroyed the good name of the Fetrells and the Fewtrells never had a bad name.
“What her and her husband have done is outrageous and the public should boycott the book.

The fuming granddad, who lives with his second wife Marlene, 40 years his junior, near Ross-on-Wye, Heref., added: “I’m not a villain, I was a good talker.
“The only bother I’ve had is with my daughter.
“People felt safe in my clubs. I wouldn’t let anyone fight.
“I was totally anti-drugs I’ve never even smoked a reefer.”
But David Keogh said he was left “sad, shocked and confused” by Eddie’s ire. His book is poised to become a Peaky Blinders-style film.

The dad added: “Abi is utterly heartbroken by her father’s actions and hopes at some point in the future they can be reconciled. She will continue to love her father as will his grandchildren and does not want to be pulled into this spiral of hatred.
“We have the highest respect for Eddie and all the Fewtrell gamily and honestly feel we have done nothing wrong.
“The book was written as an act of love dedicated to her father and late mother.”

SHOCKED: Abigail and David admit they wee saddened by Eddie’s anger
He continued: “Eddie has always made it clear to all his children that he will be leaing nothing to any of them in his will and Abi is proud that she has always been financially independent since leaving home at 18.
“We would also like to clarify the subject of the 1million pound house Eddie had supposedly built for Abi. In 2012 we became concerned about Eddie s health. Abi and I gave up our jobs and moved, along with his grandchildren, to a vacant house on Eddie s land.
“We stayed there for six months and were made to sign a tenancy agreement and paid a rent of 1,000 per month.
After six months and not being able to afford such a high rental, we had no choice but to move back to Devon and take up our previous jobs.”
