The singer was performing at Watford Colosseum before being given an escort for her safety when she left her show. An obsessive fan reportedly hand delivered a letter to the venue, threatening to kill the star. The fan later identified himself and was thrown out of the venue by security but refused to give up.

A source told The Mirror1: Jane was terrified, it was a scary situation. After the man was removed, he continued to call the theatre but when police turned up they weren t able to find him.

The Loose Woman2 star has since cancelled all meet and greets with fans. Hertfordshire Police confirmed to the publication: Jane was escorted out from the building to ensure her safety .

In a statement, they explained: Police were called to reports of a man acting suspiciously outside the Watford Colosseum at 8.38pm on Saturday, October 1.

Officers attended but the man had already left. A search was carried out of the area but the man was not located.

Police were called again at 10.47pm to reports that the man had returned to the Colosseum and was waiting outside to speak to a performer at the venue.

Officers attended and the performer was escorted from the building by officers to ensure her safety. The man was not located.

But the star has decided to continue her tour. She said: This tour has been incredible and my fans have been so supportive throughout.

I am fine and intend to enjoy the last dates of my Making Memories tour. Some fans were upset at missing out on meeting the 53 year old.
