Chairman Steve Hamer has put a date on the potential training ground move after addressing fans at the Supporters Club forum. Darrell Clarke and his side are aiming to be there by the start of the 2017/18 season with the new facility set to be located in Almondsbury.

Darrell Clarke has sent two promising youngsters out on loan with winger Broom signing for Bath City and Greenslade moving slightly further afield to Gloucester City. The duo will be at their loan clubs for a month.

How many Rovers fans have already been banned from the Memorial Stadium this season?5

Rovers pride themselves on strict policing fans at the Memorial Stadium to reduce the amount of illegal activity ever occurring at the ground. And so far two separate groups of fans, for very different reasons, have been banned. Club security officer, Dave Parker, said: “We have already banned a group of eight people up to Christmas, over a smoke grenade that was released during the pre-season game against Aston Villa.

“It has been the yellow card approach with them. We have also banned six people who were caught live streaming the match as part of a betting syndicate.

“The group has been banned for the rest of the season, their details have been passed to the police.

On that front we are one of the leading clubs in the country with cracking down on that issue.”
