Want to work at the Broadmarsh or Victoria Centre?Here’s how you …

From administrative staff and security positions to retail roles and even jobs in Santa’s grotto – a number of new vacancies are up for grabs at the intu Broadmarsh and Victoria Centres in Nottingham.

Shopping centre owner intu2 is looking for a new fire safety officer to work at the Victoria Centre3, as well as a business support assistant in finance and a helpdesk business support assistant. These roles4 are due to go live on the intu website soon, where applications can be submitted online.

Retailers within intu Victoria Centre are also advertising for new staff6, including Apple re-seller KRCS which is looking for a full-time and a part-time sales assistant. Applicants should have retail experience and knowledge of Macs and Apple products. People with a passion for selling chocolate are invited to apply for temporary retail assistant roles with the Amazing Chocolate Workshop for its Christmas campaign at the Victoria Centre, which runs from October 9 until December 30.

Plus-size women’s wear retailer Yours is looking for a deputy manager and new temporary sales assistants. Applicants should take a copy of their CV to the store. And Caffe Rizzoli is looking for a new cook. The role pays 9 per hour and is 30 hours+ per week.

intu Broadmarsh7, specialist event company Magenta Star is looking for staff to help out in the Christmas Grotto. We all know how busy Santa gets at Christmas, so he’s looking for a stand-in to work in the grotto, as well as a new Santa’s helper. Warren James Jewellers has vacancies for Christmas temporary staff and intu Broadmarsh is also looking for two temporary part time security officers and one 40-hour twilight cleaner.

Intu recently took part in a week-long Retail Matters 2016 event, which celebrated the benefits working in retail. Speaking about the initiative, Nicola McCabe, marketing manager for intu in Nottingham, said: “We’re proud to be one of Nottingham’s leading long term employers and work closely with our partners to deliver a range of great employment opportunities across Nottinghamshire.

A total of 8,362 local jobs were supported by intu in Nottingham9 last year, representing 2.6 percent of the area’s workforce. This includes the number of people working at the shopping centres and its suppliers as well as 490 construction jobs as intu Victoria Centre carried out work as part of its 42m revamp.

Applications for all of the roles can be submitted online at the intu Victoria Centre and intu Broadmarsh websites.
