Pippa Middleton has been granted a court order banning the publication of photos reportedly stolen from her iCloud account

Pippa Middleton3 has been given a court order banning the publication of photos reportedly hacked from her iCloud account. But lawyers for the Duchess of Cambridge4‘s sister today told of her fears ‘rogue elements’ abroad may post the pictures on the internet. Miss Middleton, 33, took civil court action against a ‘person or persons unknown’ after it was claimed at the weekend that pictures had been taken from her account.

While police continue to investigate the claims, her legal case was heard at London5‘s High Court this morning. Lawyers representing Miss Middleton and her fiance James Matthews, neither of whom were in court, made representations to senior judge Mrs Justice Whipple this morning. Barrister Adam Wolanski said Miss Middleton thought there had been a ‘genuine hack’.

He said there had been a ‘flagrant and criminal’ act which had caused Miss Middleton ‘considerable distress’. He said lawyers had not been able to identify any ‘defendants’ but police were investigating. Mr Wolanski said while the order would prevent publication in this country, there was concern about ‘rogue elements’ abroad.

Web designer Nathan Wyatt has been been arrested and bailed over the alleged iCloud hack

Some of the pictures said to have been stolen allegedly show Miss Middleton at a wedding dress fitting and naked images of her fiance, James Matthews, 40. Pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge and her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, are also reportedly among 3,000 images taken. The alleged hack sparked major security alert after a man offered to sell images of her and her royal relatives.

The Sun newspaper said it had been approached by someone using a pseudonym and asking for 50,000 within 48 hours. Website designer Nathan Wyatt, 35, of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of a Computer Misuse Act offence. It is not known whether Wyatt is suspected of being the hacker or the seller, but his house has been searched by police.
