England rugby league star Danny Tickle 'stable' in hospital after …

The ex-England international, who plays for Widnes, suffered head injuries outside Queen s nightclub, in Ashton-in-Makerfield

Rugby league star Danny Tickle1 was rushed to hospital after being allegedly attacked outside a nightclub.
Tickle, 32, who plays for Widnes2, was injured shortly after 4am Sunday morning.
A statement from Greater Manchester Police3 said: At 4.05am on Sunday 1 November 2015, police received a report of a man being assaulted outside Queen s nightclub, Wigan Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield.
The 32-year-old was taken to hospital suffering from head injuries and is currently in a stable condition.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed until 29 November 2015.

Enquiries are ongoing.”
It is understood Tickle, a 6 3 second row forward, who has also played for Halifax, Wigan and Hull, is being treated in Wigan Royal Infirmary.
One Twitter user described the news as “shocking” and others posted get well soon messages on the site.
A statement from Widnes Vikings said: The Club can confirm that Danny Tickle was involved in an incident on Saturday evening that required hospital treatment.
Danny is in a stable condition and the club have been advised that he will make a complete recovery.
The Club will be making no further comments on this matter at this stage.
