Second man charged with serious offences after stabbings outside …

A second man has been charged in connection with a series of stabbings outside Bristol’s Dojo and Pryzm nightclubs last month. Jamie Ivers, 25, has been charged with assisting an offender, dangerous driving, ABH an1d arson. He remains in police custody before appearing at Bristol Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Saturday.

Louis Holmes was previously charged with attempted murder and was remanded in custody. He is next due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on September 23.

Five men were injured during two incidents in Bristol during the early hours of August 21. Several cars were also found burnt out in the Easton area.

A man was assaulted at Pryzm nightclub in Canons Road at about 3am and suffered minor stab injuries. Four other men were then assaulted outside the Dojo Lounge nightclub in Park Row at about 4.30am. Three suffered minor stab injuries, while the fourth man suffered a serious stab injury and remained in hospital today.

The childhood friend of one of the men injured during the incident has been raising money for his young family.

Dan Curtis, 23, suffered major injuries in an incident outside DoJo Lounge nightclub, in Park Row.

Matt Simmonds, who grew up with Dan in Keynsham, has now raised almost 8,000.
