POLICE received reports from a resident in Ashley Heath1 who was visited by two different men in unusual circumstances on two nights last week. A spokesperson for Dorset Police2 said on August 28 a man described as being scruffily dressed came to the door after 10pm to ask the resident for directions. The next day, another man described as being tall and slim came to the resident’s house with an ID card round his neck, trying to sell items – again, late at night.
Adam Fitzwalter, of West Moors3, St Leonards4, and St Ives5 Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Should someone visit your home unexpectedly, we advise you ask them to leave, and only speak to them through an open window or using a door security chain.
Should they refuse to leave, call the police immediately on 999.”
