Wilko led the ride through Staunton today. It looked a bit wet and miserable at the start (an eye rubbing 0830am kick-off). However, it was actually quite dry in the woods as the 7 of us headed off.
It was all new stuff for me, with runs named Billys, Bunkered, Evil Edna and The Bitch, which gives you an idea of the technicality and steepness. Some nice long downhills with nice long climbs afterwards to gain the height again. Fair play to Wilko for jumping a 9ft gap jump (approx).
The rest of us chose life! It was a really nice day out with steep trails and big hits. I took some photos and a video (not giving up the day job anytime soon) which you can see below.
If you haven t been to Staunton before and you like that sort of stuff then look out for the next trip.
