Shots Fired Inside Burlington Residence, Fourth Such Shooting In A ...

BURLINGTON, N.C. Burlington police are investigating after shots were reportedly fired Tuesday night into a Burlington residence.

It is the fourth time in a week that shots have been fired into Burlington homes.

Burlington Police officers responded at about 10 p.m. to a residence located on Hatch Street in reference to a shooting.

At the time of the shooting, the residence was occupied five people, ranging in age from 15 to 23 years old. No one was injured.

Officers were nearby on an unrelated call and heard four to five gunshots come from the area of Hatch Street. As they began circulating the area, they were flagged down by a witness.

Shots were also fired into another Burlington home early Saturday.

A woman was shot in the back during that shooting on Bridgewater Drive.

In addition, shots were fired into two Burlington homes early Tuesday morning on Elmira Street and Windsor Street.

No one was injured in those shootings.

Police did not say whether the shootings are all related.
