Job Title: Multi-skilled Technician.

Area: Manufacturing. Salary: From 12 up to 17 per hour plus shift premium and overtime Hours: 46 per week Main Responsibility: To assist the engineering team in maintaining all manufacturing equipment, buildings and facilities, whilst maintaining standards of health & safety, customer service, quality & environmental disciplines. Scope of Position: Responsible to the Engineering Manager.

Main Disciplines to Include: Ensuring all health & safety policies & procedures are adhered to at all times.
Experience with automated handling systems with PLC/CNC controls.
Experience on CNC controlled press brake machinery with knowledge of control & programming systems.
Plant & buildings electrical maintenance.
Mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic machine maintenance.
Drilling, grinding, burning & welding / fabrication.
Communication with all engineering & production personnel.
Develop proposals for improvements in process efficiency, response times & costs.
Planned maintenance projects.
Project management.
Develop programmes to support best practice in health & safety.
Maintain & improve housekeeping standards throughout the plant.
PLC/CNC fault finding & programming.
Conversant & experience with robotic machinery. Reporting directly to the Engineering Supervisor your main objective will be to support the engineering department in their role to maximise productivity across all departments through effective, pro-active maintenance and efficient recovery from equipment breakdown. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities.

Good organisational & Communication skills.
Experience in working at heights.
Good interpersonal skills.
Qualified to minimum HNC level.
Experience within a high end manufacturing organisation.
Energetic, practical, self starter who can work with pace as well as creativity.
Proven experience in fault finding on PLC”s
Self motivated.
Highly computer literate.
Flexible approach.
Be able to work varied shift patterns on a rota which includes weekend shifts.
Positive, can do attitude.
Ambition and drive
